🏫 Dyslexly for Schools

Dyslexia reading on every Chromebook — one licence

Fonts, overlays and read-aloud stay free. The school licence unlocks writing tools school-wide and lets IT force-install so students are not left to find the extension themselves.

School pricing

Helperbird charges about $1,500 a year for a site licence. Read&Write is a per-seat quote. Dyslexly is cheaper — invoice to the person who actually signs the PO.

Everything your school needs

Force-install for every Chromebook

IT adds Dyslexly once in Google Admin. Students do not hunt the store. Reading tools work on Classroom, Bitesize and most websites.

Unlimited students

One annual licence covers every student and staff member at that school. No per-seat spreadsheet.

Invoice and purchase order

Card for a single school if that is easier. Trusts and secondaries: invoice to the business manager.

No student accounts

Reading settings stay on the device. No class list uploaded to Dyslexly.

30-day school trial

We send a Pro licence key for the SEN team to try first. No card. Convert on invoice after.

DSA (universities)

Assessor pack on request. Approval is in progress — we still support disability offices now.

IT: force-install (Google Workspace)

  1. Admin console → Devices → Chrome → Apps and extensions → Users and browsers
  2. Add Chrome app or extension by ID: mbokfhkochkhlbiepagabmjndgmcbbil
  3. Set installation policy to Force install for the student OU
  4. Email [email protected] for the school licence key

Official Google help: search “deploy Chrome extensions from the Admin console”. Browser settings pages and some locked school apps cannot be restyled.

🎓 Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA)

Dyslexly is seeking approval as a DSA-recommended assistive technology tool. University disability assessors will be able to recommend Dyslexly to students, with the cost covered by the government grant.

Email us at [email protected] to be notified when DSA approval is confirmed, or to request supporting documentation for your assessments now.
