Frequently asked questions
How do I activate Dyslexly Pro?
After purchasing, you will receive a licence key by email. Click the Dyslexly icon in your Chrome toolbar, click "⭐ Get Pro" at the bottom, paste your key into the box and click Activate. Pro features unlock immediately.
I did not receive my licence key email.
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, go back to the /success page in your browser history — your key is shown there too. Still stuck? Email us at [email protected] with the email address you used to purchase.
My licence key says it is invalid.
Make sure you are pasting the key exactly as it appears in the email, including the dashes (e.g. ABCD-1234-EFGH-5678). The extension accepts uppercase and lowercase. If it still fails, contact us and we will look it up manually.
Can I use Dyslexly on more than one device?
Yes. Your licence key works on any number of Chrome browsers signed in to your Google account. Simply install Dyslexly and activate with the same key.
How do I turn Dyslexly on or off quickly?
Use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+C (Mac: Ctrl+Shift+C) to toggle Dyslexly on and off without opening the popup. You can also use the toggle switch at the top of the popup.
Does Dyslexly work on every website?
Dyslexly works on the vast majority of websites including news sites, Wikipedia, Google Docs, email, and e-commerce. A small number of heavily restricted pages (such as Chrome settings pages and locally opened PDFs) have limited support.
Does Dyslexly track my browsing?
No. Dyslexly reads nothing about the pages you visit. All settings are stored locally in your browser. The only external request is a single licence key validation call — it sends your key only, nothing about your browsing activity.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time. Email [email protected] with your purchase email address and we will cancel immediately. You can also cancel directly via your Stripe customer portal — a link is included in your original receipt email.
I am a student — can I get Dyslexly funded through DSA?
We are working towards DSA-approved tool status. In the meantime, ask your disability advisor or DSA assessor about assistive technology funding — some assessors are already able to recommend Dyslexly. Email [email protected] for supporting documentation.
I am a school or university — do you offer site licences?
Yes. We offer annual school licences covering unlimited students. Email [email protected] for pricing and a quote.
